6:00-8:00 p.m., HTCC gym

Every year cheerleading gets more competitive and the bar gets raised, so we
are trying to build a team that is competitive and committed. This is a higher
commitment than the normal recreation squad. Any cheerleader above 6th
grade is welcome to try out. Please keep in mind it will be harder for younger
girls to make the team because they must have a higher skill level then the
older girls. Girls should come in cheer clothes to try out (sneakers, hair up,
shorts, and t-shirt). You should arrive 15 minutes early.

This squad involves:
1. We compete in about 5 or 6 competitions.
2. Season starts November/December through February/March
(this depends on what competitions we attend).
3. Competitions can be 1-1.5 hours away.
4. Approximate competition fees are $150-200 (Fundraising available).
5. Practice once a week on Saturday or Sunday
6. If the girls win a bid to U.S. Finals, we may attend in VA (Optional).

This will be a very low-key tryout. Do NOT stress the girls, but bring your smile!!!
